Overview

In today's fast moving business environment, the human resources function is facing the threat of downsizing and outsourcing if HR professionals cannot prove their added value to the organization. Human Resources Management supports all of the activities related to challenges facing Canadian organizations in the context of managing their workforce. This program is both theoretical and practical in its organization and discusses how human resources departments are organized and function. The focus is on using HR skills to build effective relationships at all organizational levels to maintain the well-being of the organization. This program is also intended to prepare the learner for the Knowledge exam of the CHRP designation.

Please note the new degree requirement:

Effective January 1, 2011, CHRP Candidates - those who have passed the National Knowledge Exam® (NKE) - will require a minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in order to register for the National Professional Practice Assessment® (NPPA) and qualify for the CHRP designation.
