Diploma in Business

Overview

The Diploma in Business offers students the opportunity of studying a number of different business courses over a six month period. The courses have been specially selected to provide students with the greatest exposure to skills which they will need during their business careers. The program’s aim is to deliver knowledge that is practical to a student starting out in business or wanting to learn more about Canadian business techniques.

Students are introduced to financial concepts during Financial Management and Introduction to Accounting. Communications skills are developed during courses like Public Relations, Marketing and Business Communication. The International aspects of Business are dealt with during a course on International Studies. For those students who enjoy management and leadership, the program offers courses in Project Management, Management, Leadership, Coaching and Negotiation.

The Diploma in Business is a unique opportunity for students to gain an understanding of business and the skills needed to be effective in business. Many past graduates of the program have gone on to work for major international corporations or have established their own business enterprises.
