Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS)OverviewThe Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation is a valid and reliable way to prove your professional and practical knowledge to employers and clients. Ashton College’s School of Part-time Studies allows you to continue working while obtaining a CEBS designation. Our classes are led by qualified professionals who combine their classroom and real-world experience into comprehensive lectures and seminars. Small classes mean you will have the one on one attention needed to succeed. CEBS is the most widely recognized and respected professional credential in the employee benefits and compensation field. CEBS was established in 1977 through a partnership of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. In 1986, in cooperation with Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, the International Foundation established a CEBS program in Canada to meet the specific professional development needs of Canadian employee benefits personnel. The CEBS designation is a total compensation credential that is recognized for the depth and breadth of critical knowledge that it provides. The three sub-accreditations, Group Benefits Associate (GBA), Retirement Plans Associate (RPA), and Compensation Management Specialist (CMS), provide the foundation for a well-rounded knowledge of the specifics of employee benefits. Upon completion of the CEBS designation, you will be eligible to join the International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (ISCEBS), a society geared towards the promotion and networking of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists. |
