How is the iPhone working out?

Posted by Blogger on September 22nd, 2008

I’ve been wondering how all those people who rushed off to buy the iPhone as soon as it became available are liking their latest acquisition.

Truth be told, I am pretty envious of anyone in possession of this awesome gadget. More and more I find the need to access the internet when I am out and about or I wonder whether an email I was expecting is sitting dormant in my inbox. Going to the nearest library for free internet access just doesn’t cut it. I am reluctant to sign up just yet as not only do I still have 18 months left on my cell phone contract, but I am nervous of the total monthly cost. My guess is with voicemail and caller id (essentials today) it must be over $80 a month.
Now thats quite a bunch of money.

I’d love to hear from people whether the iPhone has lived up to its expectations….

CIBC RUN FOR THE CURE - BREAST CANCER AWARENESS

Posted by Blogger on September 9th, 2008

Most of us know someone who has been affected by breast cancer and a great event is the CIBC Run for the Cure held in major Canadian Cities each year. This year in Vancouver it’s on Sunday October 5th. It’s a great day for Breast Cancer awareness and as importantly, a time to raise money to find a cure for this dreaded disease that strikes too many women and some men.

Run for the Cure

The Run was created in 1992 by a small group of volunteers in Toronto with over 1,500 participants and raised $85 000. Today it is Canada’s largest single-day, volunteer-led fundraising event dedicated to breast cancer research, education and awareness and last year raised over $27 million dollars!
